A small studio
of book people
who happen to
write code.

Our story

V3s Publishing is the new author-facing imprint from V3s Software, a small engineering studio that has been quietly building tools for publishers since 2014.

We launched V3s Publishing in 2026 because we kept watching authors get squeezed.

Indie writers were paying assistants to copy-paste manuscripts into KDP. They were buying $50 templates, then paying another $200 to fix what the templates broke. They were splitting royalties with "publishers" who did less work than a freelancer, and locking themselves into contracts that outlived the books.

We already knew the technical side. V3s Software has been writing ingestion pipelines, ONIX validators, and royalty reconcilers since 2014, mostly for mid-list publishers and distributors who could afford engineers. Indie authors have always needed the same craft and almost never gotten it. V3s Publishing is the answer to that.

V3s Publishing launched in 2026 as a small team working out of Dallas, Texas. The imprint is new; the people and tools behind it aren't. We're starting with a handful of debut titles in production right now, and we'd rather grow slowly with authors who recommend us than fast on promises we haven't kept yet. We don't lock anyone in. We're hired help, the way it was supposed to be.

What we believe

Five principles
we won't negotiate.

/ 01

You hold the rights.

Copyright, retailer accounts, and source files stay in your name. Our default model is flat-fee billing with no royalty cut, but if a different structure fits your situation, we'll write that one. Either way, the moment you'd be better off elsewhere, we help you go.

/ 02

Craft over volume.

We take fewer books each year than we could. Every title gets the kerning, the cover treatment, and the metadata research it deserves, not a template with the title swapped in.

/ 03

Plain language, plain prices.

One quote, one invoice, no asterisks. If a thing costs extra, we tell you before you sign. If we made a mistake, we eat it.

/ 04

Accessibility isn't optional.

Every ebook ships WCAG 2.1 AA compliant by default. Reading is a right. EU and Apple agree, and so do we.

/ 05

We answer the phone and the email.

No tickets, no portals, no auto-responders. The person who works on your book is the person who picks up. Within one business day, every time.
